Our company, a worldwide supplier in plant design and delivery for the pastillation and solidification of melts on endless cooling belts, together with the Belgian company Heimbach Specialities, a leading supplier of technical textiles, developed Q.max® a new, high performing cooling belt.
The belt material consists of a newly developed
Copper-/Aramidfiber, that is coated with a highly sophisticated silicone layer. Due to its inner composition the Q.max®- belt is extremely flexible, hence it is possible to use belt conveyors with small diameter pulleys.
Q.max® was tested in our test center in Krefeld, Germany under various conditions using multiple products.
In all tests Q.max® showed high heat transfers and in most products tested the heat transfer was higher than the maximum attainable in typical steel belts.
Another main feature of the Q.max® belt, due to its silicone coated surface, is the belts ability to cool very sticky products which previously was not possible with steel belt coolers.
Q.max® has been introduced to various clients worldwide with impressive feedback. The first three units have been delivered and successfully commissioned at a chemical company in Germany.
